Omicron Updates

Due to the rapid statewide rise in COVID-19 cases we’d like to remind our guests that if you or any of your guests are exhibiting any of the following symptoms, traveled in the past 14 days or been in contact with someone with COVID-19 it is important to reschedule your session until you are feeling better. Masks are required throughout the building, but if you’re not feeling well, we are happy to issue you a gift card to rebook when you are feeling better.

Symptoms include:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Trouble breathing

A 15 minute cleaning period has been added to every session to ensure we have time to properly ventilate our smash rooms before your appointment. This means your session will be shown as x:xx – x:xx, however you should plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time (the first x:xx) so that we’re able to maintain spacing between sessions/guests. We appreciate your help in smashing Covid!

Pandemic Updates

While Virginia has relaxed its masking rules, we continue to require masks for entry and in all common areas of our facility. While we are delighted that our whole staff is fully vaccinated, we cannot practically check to ensure everyone who wants to come in is also vaccinated. Too, we allow guests as young as 3 in our splatter paint areas, and the vaccine is not yet available for that age group.

We continue to carefully watch the percentage of Virginian’s fully vaccinated and spread of the virus in the Richmond area. We’ll continue to update you if there are changes and appreciate your support in keeping all of our guests healthy.

Experience Some Colorful Fun

The messiest and most colorful new experience to do in Richmond is finally here! Richmond’s first Splatter Paint experience is now open by appointment at RageRVA!

Grab your kids, friends and family and get ready for an experience you won’t forget! You’ve got 25 minutes to splash, splatter, throw and spray paint on your canvas, our walls and each other! The black light makes your colors pop, and your canvas goes home in a special box to protect it!

Throw your inhibitions right along with the paint, we don’t mind! All safety gear is provided, along with a canvas and 3 bottles of paint for each guest in your party.

If you’re looking for a safe way to experience something new and different, schedule a session!

Maximum Destruction

We want you to have an amazing experience during your smash session, so we’ve got a few tips for maximizing your session time!

  1. Arrive at least 15 minutes early for your session. It takes more time than you think to put all of your safety gear on and go through our safety orientation.
  2. Parking in the Fan can be challenging – leave yourself enough time for finding a spot.
  3. Sign your session waiver BEFORE you come in. Anyone smashing must have an up to date waiver completed before you can enter a smash room.
  4. Create your playlist before you arrive. Any service or tool you like is fine, and we won’t hear your music, pick what you like!
  5. We have Bluetooth speakers available for you to pair your phone with, but you’ll want to have a playlist ready to go.
  6. Wear socks and shoes such as gym shoes or boots. Glass and ceramic items have very unpredictable shatter patterns, and we don’t want you to get hurt.

Let’s Rage, Richmond

It’s been 75 frustrating, stressful, irritating and annoying days since we last saw each other, RVA Ragers, and I hope you’re ready to smash all those feelings out with us! We are now booking appointments for this Friday. Here are some things you need to know before you schedule.

You’ll need to wear a mask into the building and throughout your appointment. It’s the law, please don’t argue with us about it. We will also be wearing masks. If you don’t have one, we’re happy to provide you with one for your session, please just note that on your appointment request.

All sessions are BY PRE-PAID APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session to suit up, choose weapons and music. Please DO NOT be late – you will not get to take your session and we do not refund late appointments.

If you are sick in any way, shape or form PLEASE reschedule. Even if you think it’s just allergies – I will happily reschedule your session rather than risk it. Please give me a couple of hours notice, though, as I often have people requesting sessions who want the time.

Please fill out your waiver online before your appointment. This helps us limit contact between us and it saves trees, too.

COVID-19 Update

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam has ordered non-essential businesses to close for an additional 30 days to slow the spread of the Covid19 virus.

I want to assure you that as soon as the order is lifted, we’ll be here for you to come in and smash. While this shutdown is terrible for us as a new small business, we have confidence in your support and we have EVERY intention to re-open as quickly as it is safe to do so.

In the meanwhile, if you would like to help us weather this unprecedented event, here are some things you can do:

1. Buy a Gift Card through our website. Gift certificates do not expire and can be used for any session or add-on.

2. Share and like our posts on all of our social media – your support means the world to us and we’ve stopped all marketing except for fan sharing.

I know this is a scary and stressful time but together, we’ll make it through. Please stay strong and we’ll smash soon!

Corona Virus Update

I want to provide an update about our efforts to ensure the health and safety of RageRVA guests in light of COVID-19, more commonly known as the coronavirus.

We are taking the following steps at RageRVA to ensure that you have a fun and healthy smash session:

  1. We have purchased additional face shields, gloves and coveralls. All of our face shields are fully sanitized between sessions, our coveralls and gloves are washed after each use.
  2. I have increased cleaning of hard surfaces, including weapon and door handles as well as the reception area.
  3. Our bathroom is fully stocked with soap/hand sanitizer and paper towels at all times.
  4. I have decreased the number of daily sessions and increased the time between appointments to allow for additional sanitation as needed.
  5. I am happy to reschedule your session if you or someone in your household is sick. I take medicine for my rheumatoid arthritis that lowers my immune system and I’d rather err on the side of caution until this virus is better understood. Please let me know as soon as possible and we’ll get you rescheduled when you’re feeling better.

Here are some of the steps we can all take to limit the spread of infection. Per the Centers for Disease Control:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and help young children do the same. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Wash your hands especially after coughing and sneezing, before and after caring for an ill person, and before preparing foods and before eating.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact (such as kissing, sharing cups, or sharing eating utensils) with people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects, such as toys and doorknobs, especially if someone is sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except when you need to get medical care.

Thank you for your feedback as we continue to prepare for and respond to this evolving situation. Nothing is more important to me than the health and safety of our guests and staff. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to message us!

Our First Event

When you do the work and you don’t get paid for it, it’s stealing.

I have worked as an hourly employee since I was 14. Plenty of employers stole from me through the years and I was powerless to do anything about it.

On June 3rd, the Colortree Group abruptly closed their doors without advance notice to their 240+ employees and vendors. Employees had 15 minutes to leave the building many of them have worked in for 20+ years.

In the days to come they discovered their insurance and retirement funds were also gone.

Stolen. Those people worked hard to build and grow the business and were suddenly left with nothing they had built.

My wife was one of those people as well. She’s worked with them for more than 11 years developing software and business growth solutions through her consulting practice. When we fully realized the scope of the closure, we decided we needed to help and our event was born!

I think this is one of the best things about owning my own business – I have the power to help other people. Can you help me help these folks? I promise, you’ll have a great time while you’re at it!

Head over and buy your ticket before we sell out!
